Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Statement

Last reviewed: 4 August 2026

Angie's Heart of Hope CIC is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in everything we do — in who we support, who we work alongside, and who we welcome as volunteers.

Our commitment

  • We welcome and support people regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation — the protected characteristics recognised under the Equality Act 2010 — and regardless of background or personal circumstance more broadly.
  • We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or victimisation of any kind, by or against anyone connected with our work.
  • We aim to make our services, activities and volunteering opportunities as accessible and inclusive as possible, and to keep improving as we grow — see our Accessibility Statement for more on our website specifically.
  • We recognise that people from all backgrounds can experience poor mental health, loneliness and hardship, and we aim to reduce barriers and stigma wherever we can, in line with our founding mission.

How this applies in practice

This commitment shapes how we recruit and support volunteers, how we design our peer-support and wellbeing activities, and how we communicate — aiming for language and imagery that is respectful and inclusive.

Concerns

If you feel this commitment hasn't been met, please tell us — see our Complaints Procedure for how to raise this with us.
